Is your FTP server running Windows Server 2003 perhaps? Windows Server 2003 ships with a setting requiring file sharing connections to cryptographically sign each request. QNTC did not support that until V5R4. Try checking the local security policy setting on the server named "Microsoft network server: Digitally sign communications (always)". If that is set to "Enabled", that is probably your problem. If you need to change that setting, the PC server will need to be rebooted to make the change take effect. Chuck Emig Chris Bipes wrote:
Hi all, I am having a problem with one server not showing it's shares in QNTC. All the other servers I have checks show their shares and I can browse them from WRKLNK '/QNTC/Server/*' Just our FTP server is not showing any shares. I can see it in QNTC but not browse the shares. Yet with my PC they all show up and I have no problems. How can I reset the connection? I have cleared the ARP Cache on all adapters, ended / started Netserver, and check for any TCP connections. There are none. Ping gives the correct IP address as well. They are on the same subnet so there is no switching going on. I can browse the iSeries shares from the FTP server as well. Where do I go from here, besides crazy? Christopher Bipes Information Services Director CrossCheck, Inc.
