Bill, If you use the internal modem on the 2793 card you will not be able to use passthru(or sndnetf or sndnetsplf). That port on the card does not support SNA(unless you config anynet <gag, choke, ugly>, only tcp/ip protocols. If you want to do that here is an IBM document: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas175db424a36c0573c8625709000539b2d&rs=110 you can set it up to dial another iseries system and then use telnet to remotely log on.
