To get job name in C:

QP0W_Job_ID_T job_id;

Qp0wGetJobID(getpid(), &job_id);        // Retrieve our job name

fprintf(out,"Job = %.10s %.10s %.6s\n", job_id.jobname, job_id.username,
job_id.jobnumber);

Also see tmpnam() C library function to generate and return a temporary file
name.

Subject: Anybody know a quick and easy way to generate a
unique IFSdirectory for temporary use?

I'm faced with a need for a temporary working directory in
the IFS. The last time I needed a temporary IFS object, I
was working in RPG, and simply used the qualified jobname
from the program status data structure. But I'm doing this
one from C, and I don't see any documented way for C (or
anything else other than RPG) to access the PSDS.

Anybody know of a way (i.e., an easier way than calling
QUSRPGMI) to get the even just the job number from outside
of RPG? Or any other easy way to get a unique name for an
IFS object?
