RE: Battery Cache

Part of the procedure to replace the battery is to force a failure of
the cache battery.  Doesn't that cause the cache to dump??

I looked thru the archives and found some older information on this but
I wanted to make sure that there is no new information that would
supersede this. 

We have to replace the Cache Memory Battery and I want to make sure that
if we do a normal power down that it will write the cache to disk and
when they replace the battery all will be well.
