The LIKE predicate of SQL is just like that of Query/400. As to case 
sensitivity, it is set in interactive SQL using F13 to change session settings. 
In embedded SQL you can execute SET OPTION SRTSEQ=*LANGIDSHR to make it 
case-insensitive - this affects all comparison operations in the module. Other 
values are *LANGIDUNQ, *HEX, *JOB, *JOBRUN, or a table with sort specifications 
(*TBL object type). More on the in the SQL Reference.

Query/400 has similar options - more, actually - in the collating sequence item.

Regular RPG has SCAN which works similarly. 
Important difference is if case sensitivity is involved. 

I know this is probably a simple answer to this . . 

but in query you can in the where clause with like 

Field Test Value (Field, Number, 'C 
TKPERSON LIKE '%4957%' 

Is there somthing equivalent to that in SQL? 

I think when I used Sequel way back they had 'Contains' for that kind 
of search. 

Im not finding an answer to this in my SQL book so thought you guys 
would know if its possible.
