A recent post by Keith got me thinking.

I've done concurrent maintenance on lpars running i5/os before. No big
deal. Blink the card, rip it out and replace it. What happens if you
have linux running "hosted" by i5/os instead of totally separate? You
know, WRKCFGSTS *NWS to turn it on / off. If you use concurrent
maintenance to replace a card that may be used by Linux do you have to
vary off the *nws first or is there something more granular, like a
unmount/mount combo? Or do you just not worry about it and do regular
concurrent maintenance under i5/os?
