From: Trevor Perry

"If you lost your argument on a spoof,"

How did I "lose" anything, Trevor? You provided the spoof as part of your
argument, not me. I simply addressed the points raised by the spoof,
because frankly they're not far from what you and the global economists
(your "ilk") say all the time.

As to intellectually lazy, that's no worse a statement than calling people
whiners. In my opinion you ARE lazy. To present as fact a statement that
can be rebutted by 15 seconds on Google is intellectually lazy.

"You made a fool of yourself debating the spoof - you don't have to take it
out on me."

<laughing> Sure, it's a bit silly that I argued the points made in a satire,
but the point of satire is that is has a seed of truth, and if you read that
article carefully, it really is a pretty solid presentation of the position
of global economists. Which is I suppose why it's such good satire!

This is the hallmark of intellectual deceit, by the way: you're trying
desperately to grab some sort of "win" from the discussion by saying I "made
a fool of myself". This is evidently supposed to somehow deflect the fact
that you can't back up what you say; that your statements are frivolous and
insubstantial. Heck, YOU'RE the one who brought up a satire to your own
position! And when you get called on your baseless rhetoric, you result to
mudslinging.

No, the only thing that makes me look a fool is spending time talking to
you. You're right, I should have stuck to my original position about no
further discourse. In fact, I should have given your original statements
exactly the amount of time they deserved.

Joe
