WMPU does, in fact, show *USER.

(You won't be able to create a command that calls the CPP
in system state.)

What's happening is
that security level 40 enforces this rule (from the help for DSPSYSVAL
QSECURITY): "Programs fail if they try to access objects through
interfaces that are not supported."


Well, that explains *everything*!  <g>  I'm not sure I would have been able
to tie the two together on my own.  Thanks for the explanation, Barbara.  It
just can't be done.
