I heard of someone else having problems with a USB-to-Serial cable problem
(not iSeries). Do you have something else to hook up to the cable to make
sure that is working? Like an old external modem or something?

I've spent over a week (along with IBM support) trying to get ops console
direct attached to work on V5R4. It fails on both PCs we've tried.

We're now wondering if it's the USB-to-serial converter cable not being up
to the task. Ours is a Belkin F5U409.

Does anyone else have a V5R4 ops console direct attach, using a
USB-to-serial cable, and working? If so, what USB-to-serial cable is it?

Thanks.
