If you're doing something interactively then strsql is easy enough, but if it's a batch cl already, and you just need to update a row this works great. Sure, there are many other ways to do it, but this is totally self-contained. As far as "native" goes, if you'd prefer you can call qzdfmdb2 as that's the OS/400 pgm that implements the db2 command, but I'd rather stick with QSH. Then again I consider it totally "native" anyway. -Walden
