Add to you start up program, chglind .... Change the line description now to online at IPL *NO. You can make that change with it live. As to performance increase, that depends on you network traffic. BUT at 10M most switches are only half duplex so make sure you can run 100M Full duplex on the hubs / switches as well as the adapter card. Also make sure the AS400 is plugged into a switch, not a hub. Big difference will be see there. It looks like all LAN users will need to off of the AS/400 system as TCP/IP must be stopped before this parameter may be changed.
