What's KIX? Anyway, the RPG program isn't looking in QDLS by any chance, is it? The naming for QDLS objects has to conform to the 8.3 format. On 5/31/06, Smith, Mike <Mike_Smith@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
I'm am trying to redo an application that was written in KIX by a former employee. I want to read the file via rpg from the IFS. I found a program I had downloaded a long time ago to read from the IFS. The problem I'm having is that in testing this little program out, I have some files(.txt) that it will read and others that I get an (error - file not found) message. The files are there. In particular the file that I really need to read, is receiving the message. What are some things I can check to determine the problem? I have looked at CCSID on the files, but I'm not getting a consistence value on the different files that I have experimented with.
