Here's what we do: 1) Set up the i5 to sync with some external source (US Naval Observatory or such) 2) Have every PC in the place (including the IXS) sync to the i5.
So, for the situation in question, this seems like a good solution. Windows on the IXS can be configured to synch to the SNTP server on the System i. As an aside, in a Windows domain the PCs and member servers in the domain automatically synch to the domain controllers, so dealing with the individual PC's is a non-issue. Take care ..
