The error message is not really an FTP error message, but rather a TCP error message. (FTP uses TCP to communicate commands and file data over a network.) It could be a network error causing the connection to be reset, or the software on the peer may be deliberately resetting it. It's sort of like making a phone call to a friend, and suddenly hearing a dial tone and your friend is no longer there. Did your friend hang up the phone? Was their a glitch at the phone company? All you know for sure is that she's no longer connected. --- Scott Klement http://www.scottklement.com On Wed, 17 May 2006, Ketzes, Larry wrote: > I'm not sure if anyone is expert in ftp error messages, but does anyone know > what the following message may be pointing to? > > Thanks, Larry > >> Netout :Connection reset by peer > Connection closed by remote host >
