Dave,You sure there's nothing in TAA that does that? Man it sounds familiar. It does look like you Might be able to get the info from dspovr if you specify Merge(*no) but it looks like you need to know the current call level to make that work.

I have a need to replace a (large) number of queries (*QRYDFN) with high-level language programs (don't ask why). The print queries are usually preceded by some overrides to FILE(QPQUPRFIL) for output queue, formtype, hold, save, userdata etc. That print file cannot be used in my program because it is a file with a separate indicator area (i.e., it MUST be externally described to use the RPG INDARA structure) but it has no valid formats (won't compile). What I really want to do is derive the overrides in effect for QPQUPRFIL and then use them to OVRPRTF to QSYSPRT (or some other print file of my own). I have not been able to find a suitable API or other method to extract these at the current invocation level.Anybody got any ideas (Scott Klement, are you listening)?Dave Schnee, Barsa Consullting Group, LLC
