Bruce,

Many thanks for the quick reply! The MSF Support manual (SC41-5411) gives a
good overview, but I'm just not smart enough to jump into exit programs
quite yet. The description of MSF Developer Guide (GG24-4449), quoted below,
seems like something I need to read first. Not sure what to do - open a
trouble ticket with IBM support?

Abstract:
"This redbook is unique in its detailed coverage of the; AnyMail/400 Mail
Server Framework (MSF). It focuses on the; technical details needed to
understand how the mail server; framework works. It provides information
about how to write; programs that will creat MSF messages or act on MSF
messages; exit point programs.; This redbook is written to assist AS/400
programmers write; mail messaging applications using MSF. The reader's
knowled-; ge of basic electronic messaging concepts is assumed. Its; scope
includes a description of MSF, designing MSF; applications, configuring MSF,
MSF operation, and problem; determination."
