Hi Scott, DING DING DING! Scott is right again! <smile> Well, not only have you taught me what little I know about socket programming, you nailed this in one. In retrospect it seems pretty obvious but it just grew that way in little incremental fixes for various problems over a period of years and just became a problem when we started sending considerably more data. It is true that the client may roam outside of coverage for long periods and then show back up expecting the connection to still be there.
