Pat,If you want to stick your foot into the open source world, I have a port of the tn5250j project that provides a browser based 5250 client (servlet). This isn't an applet or a "plug-in", it is all server-side code. Pure HTML.
If you are running Tomcat then you could give it a whirl. It could be hosted on any server running Tomcat for that matter. I would consider it to be "beta" code and I am working on some administrative tools for it (whenever I get the time....).
Nothing like iSeries Access for Web, this is ONLY 5250 emulation at this point in time. However, if it is close to what you want, it may do in a pinch. Very lightweight.
