Whether Amazon's order entry process would work in green screen would depend on its design-- would you allow pop ups and drop downs in green? Even if not, you can do a lot with subfiles for selection (ie state...).
My main gripe about GUI designs is that they have you move from keyboard... to mouse... to keyboard... to mouse... wasted motion!
No matter -what- interface you use, it's the -design- that makes it usable, not the medium!
