I've mentioned this before but I think no one has ever commented, neither to agree nor contradict. I'll mention it again... AFAIK, _most_ of us access our green-screen apps through a "GUI" app right now. It's called iSeries Access, in particular the emulator sessions. AFAIK, there is no absolute reason a GUI can't look, act and feel essentially the same as a real terminal. (With obvious exceptions such as bringing up Task Manager, etc.) Though there is no 'absolute' reason, there are practical reasons in that common IDEs and widgets, etc., don't help much in creating something like the green-screen pane in the emulator.
