> Trevor- >How about a calendar control? Selecting a date >is not a longer process than typing a date, but >it is -without question - MUCH MORE ACCURATE. Depending on the type of work being performed and the type of user (data entry vs. casual user) I could see examples where the mouse driven calendar control becomes a longer process. For example, if you're keying into name and address fields, then selecting a date the switch from keyboard to mouse is a time-waster. And you haven't convinced me that selecting a date is any more accurate than keying it. A human can just as easily mis-select as he or she can mis-key.
