The problem with most (all?) IBM software is that they write/test it first
on platforms _other_ that System i.  If they would do that at least half of
their platform porting problems would disappear.  But that wouldn't be
politic for many managers in the Software Group - any of their developers
who have worked on System i know it to be true though.
