Someone else recommended the ILE CL CEE date functions. Scott Klement has 
provided lots of examples of these - search the group archives for CEEDAT or go 
to the Club Tech newsletter link at www.iseriesnetwork.com that he is editor 
for and dig around. The Lillian date ones mentioned by another poster are easy 
to use even in CL, and you get the number of days since a date in 1500 
something, I think. Then when you subtract or add, it does not care about year 
ends or month ends. Then you convert back with the reciprocal function and, 
ba-da-bing.
