RE: The F-spec when adding records to a keyed file.

I don't think you need it, however, I always have it there just because I
normally do a SETLL by key to see if the record exists. If not, I clear the
record format, populate it, and write. If I get a hit, then I chain with the
same key and update.

This is not clear to me.  An RPGLE program adds records to an externally
described, keyed, file.

Does the F-spec need the k?
