If you replace an object that is in someone's program stack, that job still uses the renamed version now in QRPLOBJ. Once it is removed from the stack, the new version will be called. If you delete an object in QRPLOBJ that is being used the job using it will blow up. That's why I wait seven days. We take the system to a restricted state for a weekly backup. We don't IPL after every back up so QRPLOBJ doesn't get cleaned up. But once a week the system will be totally quiesced and any objects in QRPLOBJ will no longer be used. Gord
