ILE RPG (or RPGIV) is not any harder to understand than RPGIII and it is the current stuff - you can use it just like III, the only difference could be that the columns are in a different place. You will be much better off learning RPGIV.
So in order to use this you either call a CL program (CLLE type) or start writing in RPGIV.
