Pete, I'm guessing you're going to have a problem. When we went from an 830 to an 810, we had to rebuild the system drive for the new IxS. Basically, the IxS is just like any other PC. You can't take the hard drive out of on PC and install it in another and expect Windows to work unless the PC hardware is the same. Somewhere on IBM's site, there is documentation that should confirm that the rebuild needs to be done in your particular case on moving from the 2890 to the 4812. This is one reason I tend to prefer IxA attached external servers instead of IxS.
