Here's one for you. They took our local post offices ability to sort any mail away go aletter to some one in town has to go 60 miles away to Akron and back to getdelivered 5 streets away
and how is this different than any other business that consolidates operations?
local service is always impacted, but the bean counters don't care.. maybe soon all the sorting will be offshore..<grin>I am completing a project for a customer that does volume mailing of certified with return receipts. We will now daily transmit a record for each mail piece to Washington, mail the pieces, then get the signature back electronically instead of the green cards, and save 50 cents for every piece. Considering the Post Office handles many times the
volume that Fedex, UPS and other combined, they are not doing too bad.. jim franz----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Anderson" <banderson@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
