Consider using a VISERA terminal server for console ops from anywhere.
I have on that has twelve connections available but use eleven for LPARS
running OS's v4r5 to v5r3. Connectivity from users both US domestic and
from India.

Subject: How do you get to your remote console in a DR situation?

I would like you to consider as part of your DRP plan the following;
will there be a way to get in as a console operator? If there is a
network error, either the network itself or if the Ethernet line on the
remote iSeries is down, how would you get to the machine to answer any
messages, investigate etc?

Regards,
