The readme says iSeries Access V5R4 will only upgrade a V5R2 or V5R3 client
product.

Once installed, our V5R4 iSeries Access client handles 5250 emulation to V5R1
with no problem, and it seems the Navigator portion also talks to V5R1 with no
problem (the various functions show up in the iSeries Access GUI), although I
have not personally used any of the Navigator functionality with our V5R1 box.

There should be an explicit statement from IBM somewhere about what server
releases are supported, but I did not find it in a quick look - that's why I
was looking at the readme.

subject: V5R4 iSeries Access for Windows

Hi all,

Well, I see that V5R4 service packs for iSeries Access are available.

Should we go ahead and get "ahead of the curve" by installing the V5R4
iSeries Access client on our users' desktops? How far back will it
go..i.e., will the V5R4 client for iSeries Access work on a V5R1 machine,
for example.

TIA
