This parity argument is bogus, IMO. In order to have parity between i5 and p5, 
IBM would need to sell just the box, without the database and without most of 
the utilities that come with it - like most of the CL commands that let us do 
so much right out of the gate.

Trouble is, most of the world does not think about what is installed before 
arguing for price parity - a loaded p5 is not cheap, either. Nor is a Wintel 
box with enough licenses for SQL Server and all the client licenses.
