Doesn't this work for Qshell?

Yes, that does work as well.  (Make sure PATH is all upper-case, though)

When I tried it earlier it didn't work, but now I realize that I had typedthe name in lowercase! So I guess he can avoid uing /etc/profile by usingADDENVVAR.
