Please see: http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/service/brms/pdf/savpost3. pdf If you truly have a "SAVSYS" you won't have the folder whether it was a DLO or an IFS folder. If you actually have an Option 21 save follow Vern's advice and do a DSPTAP. If you see Data File Labels QDOC or SAVyyyymmdd (probably near the end of the list) you should be able to restore your folder using the appropriate RSTDLO or RST command. Somebody in the company wants to retrieve a folder from an old iSeries machine that the company used to run. I have a SAVSYS from the old machine across multiple tapes available to me. I am trying to restore just a folder called EDI. The folder currently does not reside in the IFS. I tried the following command RST DEV('/QSYS.LIB/TAP02.DEVD') OBJ(('/EDI')) After much a great deal of activity and time I get the following error(s) File not selected. File label or file name mismatch for file XXXXXXXX. The XXXXXXXX is the name of the library/object on the tape. I get this message for every Data File Label on the tape. First off is the above command correct? If so what Data File Label am I looking for so I know which tape to put in the drive?
