Hi, Dan:

I kinda remembered that I thought there was an API for that ...

So, what I did was, I went to the InfoCenter, at:
    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/index.jsp

Then in the left margin, selected, Programming, then APIs, then API Finder,
and typed in "target release" and Voila! ;-)
