We went through something like this on our v4 system, except the mainframe 3745 was going away. We converter all SNA 3270 to TN3270 and all data transfer to FTP. You can also FTP straight into JES2 for job submittals as well. How is this connection made to the mainframe CICS? 3270 for user login? Change to Telnet (TN3270) LU6.2 for data transfer? Change to FTP and processes on the m/f take the raw data & post/update the data to CICS files. Cheers! Hi Folks, We've got a 9405-520 with V5R3 and an Ethernet card that doesn't support SNA traffic. Previously, on an older machine, we were running SPLS to support a connection for the AS/400 to a CICS region living on the Mainframe. Do I have any options other than recoding the application to use sockets? Would this work over AnyNet? How about Enterprise Extender? Any pointers are much appreciated. Thanks! <*BobL*> Bob Lester Sr. SysProg - CICS/TCPIP/VTAM/USS/etc...
