Production is a 570 2-way with 24GB RAM and 3TB disk (after RAID is configured). 2 IxS cards installed with a 3rd IxS and an IxA waiting in the wings. 2 LPARs right now. We will likely be adding a 3rd LPAR later this year; that will involve the adding of (probably) 8 drives in another 0595. Dev/DR is a 570 2-way but with only 1 core licensed for i5/OS; we'll use CUoD in a real DR situation. 12GB RAM and 5TB disk after RAID. 3 IxS' installed with an IxA coming online in a couple of months. 3 LPARs: 2 are the DR LPARs for the production system and the 3rd is our development LPAR. If we add the 3rd LPAR to the production system we'll add a 4th to this box, probably by again adding 8 drives in another 0595. Everything is i5/OS V5R3, 1 CUM behind. Groups are almost current - from the beginning of December. Enterprise Edition on both systems. Each box has an HMC and each HMC is configured to support both i5s so we have redundancy. Each i5 has a SCSI attached dual-LTO3 3582 tape library. All IxS' run Windows Server 2003 and have 2GB RAM, except for one which has 4GB. The difference in DASD is due to the timing of the purchases; production was purchased with 70GB 15K disks and Dev/DR was purchased after the 140GB 15K disks were announced. Gb Ethernet everywhere. Each site has the IBM KVM and an Aten 16-port KVM switch. Everything possible has redundant power and power feeds to the rack. John A.
