The database containing the e-mail for your customers will take as much work to maintain as selecting the e-mail from exchange if you open the outlook, so by opening an outlook seesion you will not save any work and add a place for users to make mistakes.

Besides, once you have the e-mail for the customers in the AS you can provide other services using batch programas to send e-mail.

Why force manual intervention? Why open an Outlook session? Ideally >do this:
Put a trigger on the customer master.  When a record gets updated it >uses
