Agree - we spent money and time and it's slowed down to non-use. The issue I struggle with is that there is always some problem or performance issue (real or perceived) that stops the change. Forget that 80% of the tool works fine and gives you some nice advantages and focus on the 20% that is of concern or a problem. Heck I even had one developer who did all of her coding (using the programmers menu mind you) on a terminal because the PC was to slow.......I finally put my foot down when we dropped maintenance on our 3477's. I think I'm still hated for that........ midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote on 02/03/2006 08:41:57 AM: > How about a shop where management > - paid for onsite training for the new tools > - upgrades your PC to support the new tools > - Will gladly purchase books on how to use the new tools > - Will send personnel to COMMON, etc to learn the new tools > Yet more than half still use 5250 tools and some of the people using the > newer tools use the CODE editor instead of LPEX editor. > I still feel that we should have deleted, renamed (security wouldn't work > for another issue that burns me) or something, all of the STRSEU genre of > commands.
