I like the name System I5, but it seems that IBM is going down a road where the system name is tied to the processor name. My understanding is that plans are in place for Power5 - Power9 processor designs. Does that mean we should expect I5 - I9 in the next several years? Perhaps the best you can do is build brand recognation around your own product lines, rather than rely on any stability from IBM. Maybe you can say your products are cross-platform.
