The QADBIFLD (and its brethren) was what I was thinking about. This is handy knowledge, though, Rob, even though SYSCOLUMNS is built over QADBIFLD and QADBXSFLD.


I'm going to have to carve these into my wall (memory keeps going) and hope they don't move me to another office.

I did a little work (very little work) on MS SQL Server and they use the same names SYSCOLUMNS, SYSTABLES for their listings. You add a new field, or new file, and they're updated instantly. And it's nice for the newbie to i5/os to see something familiar.
