Let me think - isn't Dick Odell the one that has that responsibility over
the years? I think I have the name right. If I can confirm that I would
send a note to him asking for that kind of information to be added.
Also, regarding your question on the Conference - it's been 15 years since
I've been to the IBM tech conference and about 3 years since I've been to
the connection conference. Both are very good. My opinion is that the
majority of sessions at the Connection conference were geared towards
development and not towards admin. But it is still a good conference...
This year I went to Lotusphere so I think I'm done with my conferences....

Excellent idea. And let's hope they spell it NetServer instead of
NetSerer in the chapter 9 heading for the V5R4 version. Really throws
that search in the trash.
And adding a comparison for IXS card in the same vein is a great idea.
Didn't see a reference card at the end for submitting comments like many
IBM books.

Re: V5R4 NetServer
That seems like a great subject for the performance capabilities document
that doesn't have an update on the subject.....yet............

And a comparison to another processor like the IXS would be nice.
Currently the approach is to only compare OS/400 functions and releases.

In the past I've found NetServer to be pretty slow - and it wasn't the
hardware. I could be using the same i5 disk, but instead of using
NetServer throw in an IXS card and the performance was better. In V5R4
they supposedly improved the performance of NetServer significantly. Now
to find out what would be a good time trial to compare the IXS card
against NetServer...
