V5R4 NetServer -- MIDRANGE-L

In the past I've found NetServer to be pretty slow - and it wasn't the 
hardware.  I could be using the same i5 disk, but instead of using 
NetServer throw in an IXS card and the performance was better.  In V5R4 
they supposedly improved the performance of NetServer significantly.  Now 
to find out what would be a good time trial to compare the IXS card 
against NetServer...
