Yes, you can do it programmatically in CL but it would be lengthy. Use qmonth to get the current month You of course have to have a series of if statements converting Jan to 1 and 1 to Jan If it's equal to this month -1 and it doesn't exist create it. If this month is one then set check to 12 and year - 1 Etc, etc. If you need more detail contact me off list. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of John Candidi Sent: Monday, January 30, 2006 2:00 PM To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: CL program Let me describe what I'm trying to do. I'm sure it's pretty simple for anyone who knows CL. I need to create a library with the month-end name (i.e. after January month-end, I'd need a JAN2006 library) that will contain 10 files which I copy into it. I will need to do this every month as part of our month-end process. I assume it will have to subtract several days from today's date and pull the month and year from that date in case month-end is not run on the last day of the month Is there a simple CL program to do this.
