Yet another alternative, you could use the FTP exit point and have a program on it. Upon receipt of the file do the rename. Post right away when the ftp session is done. The biggest problem with the ftp exit point is the design intention itself. It's designed to be there for security. "Do we allow this person to ...?" So, the exit point get's triggered when they issue the PUT, not when the PUT is done running. If you try to do anything with the file while it is still in transmission you may have issues. That's why, for this, I recommend the ftpapi. But you'll probably get what you are doing to work and it may do the job for you. Rob Berendt
