Hi Rob,

The system account runs our MSSQL agent, so there's not much of a chance
of finding the password that it uses. :)

I might be able to modify the DTS package to allow me to FTP the file
from the AS/400 to a local file in order to work on it.  I'm just
looking at it now.

If the account on your SQL server's password and userid is all upper
case, 
or if you use some security settings on your iSeries that allow mixed 
case, then there should be nothing stopping you from creating an iSeries

account to match the windows account.  Then you could still use option 1

and have the job submitted under that user profile.
