All my ftp scripts have the username and password spaced just like yours, 
and work fine (at least when they are scheduled jobs).

I had something similar happen to me all of the sudden and I don't believe 
there have been any PTF's applied.
I have a CL that uses a script to connect to a remote system. When I tried 
to manually run the CL I would get an error on the port number, whether I 
specified one or not.
If I released the exact same job from the scheduled entries it worked 
fine. I have no idea why this has been happening.

Yes, but is it forbidden?

Folks, please keep in mind that this scripted ftp automation worked fine
up until a few weeks ago.

We're going to talk to the system folks to see if any PTF's were applied.
