I think it is up to IBM management. if they invest in the as400 part of the iSeries the system can be renewed and be a success again. If they continue their policy of neglecting our side of the system the iSeries will morph into a pSeries and rpg, ile, display files and libraries will die off. hopefully in v5r4 the single threaded restriction on jobs in qinter will be lifted. That way Java could be used for green screen programming. If IBM can get premium prices for systems that run green screen applications, doesn't it make sense to improve the OS that those applications run on? -Steve
