Performance should be somewhat identical. Only difference might be a PREPARE'd sql statement versus otherwise. (Something about desired access path actually gets stored in the pgm object after the first run on a non PREPAREd statement.) Sure wish the Change Management vendors would not flag "Object changed outside of (your CM package here)" just because I ran the program and it updated the PRTSQLINF. Rob Berendt
