Good News Everybody!

The new search engine is LIVE!

Please report any problems to david (at) midrange.com.

Well, the suggestion that follows is security by obscurity, but it is fairly common. Put a dollar-sign after the share name - it will be invisible but usable in Windows. E.g., say root$ instead of root. Then you need to know to use the $ as in \\host\root$

I have seen a C: drive called c$ a lot.

Now let the rebukes rain on me!

Once you have the machine, you should be able to install iSeries Access yourself by pointing to \\your-iSeries-IP-address\qibm\ProdData\Access\Windows\Install\Image

That assumes that you've shared the root directory of your IFS! (shudder)
