Yep. I was lucky enough to have a simple enough system and set of apps
where we could define the extent of the issue and it didn't change much on
us. If the original poster's company is going to the expense of a DR site
and testing it's defintely worth the time to review the restore logs for
the specific CPF message that shows up when the logical tries to be
restored without it's physical. There's a similar issue that can occur
where a journal/file dependency can occur on a restore... can't remember
the specifics on that one, though. I'm sure someone might chime in on that
one...

I agree... I've also seen in practice where two restores are done without
even a validation step as there are know PF/LF issues with names and the
files go down correct on the second pass...
Sure for small systems this is OK... for those of use running mulitple TB
host this is not an easy decision or process....
